There are significant differences in the Internet gambling laws of the U.S. and the U.K. Under current federal laws and state laws, U.S. companies and players must often rely on offshore sites. The passage of the 2005 Gambling Act in the U.K. establishes a different atmosphere in that country. Laws governing gambling on a global scale are nowhere near set in stone.
